AI search visibility

Your buyers are asking ChatGPT. Is it citing you, or someone else?

Brand owners, marketers, and agencies: if AI answers do not name you, you do not exist in the new search. KnewSearch measures presence across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini, then shows the gaps to close.

the problem

Ranking was the game. Citation is the game now.

The ranking you spent years earning still exists. The traffic it used to carry does not. AI Overviews cut position-1 organic click-through by 58 percent (Ahrefs, December 2025). The questions did not stop. They moved: 900 million people ask ChatGPT something every week (OpenAI, February 2026), and over a billion people use Google AI Mode every month (Google I/O, 2026). The answers come back as a short paragraph with a handful of brands named inside it, every day, whether anyone on your team is watching or not.

engines disagree

The four engines cite fundamentally different webs. ChatGPT leans on Wikipedia, Perplexity on Reddit and reviews, Google on its own index. Presence on one engine tells you nothing about the other three.

sources rotate monthly

Between 40 and 60 percent of the domains AI answers cite change from month to month (Profound, from 240 million ChatGPT citations). A one-time audit is a photograph of a moving train.

Your rank tracker cannot see any of this. Your analytics cannot either, because the visit that never happens leaves no trace. Right now, the brands you market are being recommended or replaced inside answers you have no instrument to read. You cannot manage what you do not measure.

Every number on this page is dated and linked on our sources page. We hold ourselves to the same standard we hold AI answers to.

the loop

Measure. Close the gaps. Measure again.

KnewSearch runs your buyer prompts against the live engines each day and records which brands came back cited. Not a model's guess at what the engines probably say: a record of what they said this morning.

1. Measure

Daily probes record who each engine cited, per prompt, with competitors logged beside you. A line over time, not a snapshot.

2. Find the gaps

The record shows where competitor citations come from: the listicles, subreddits, review profiles, and videos your brand is absent from.

3. Close the gaps

Work the queue in order. It is ranked on published evidence: brand mentions correlate with AI visibility about 3x more strongly than backlinks (Ahrefs).

4. Re-measure

The next morning's probes tell you whether the work moved the answer. Same instrument that found the gap, so the reading is honest.

one thing we will not do

We will not sell you an llms.txt file. Google does not support it, and nearly all published llms.txt files receive zero requests from AI bots. If a vendor's plan starts there, it is a plan to bill you, not a plan to get you cited. What correlates with being cited is earned presence, and that is where every KnewSearch recommendation points.

when you want it done for you

Monitoring tells you where the gaps are. Get Cited closes them for you: listicle placements, digital PR, review-profile buildout, subreddit and YouTube presence strategy, with a monthly re-measurement review against the same daily probes.

proof

No testimonial wall. Only claims we can verify.

KnewSearch launched in June 2026. There are no customer logos or testimonial cards on this page because we do not have them yet, and we will not invent them. Here is what exists instead.

who built it

Built by Brandon Lincoln Hendricks, founder of Hendricks, a Search Intelligence Engineering firm. Previously Global Paid Search Director at Merkle, a dentsu company, and Global Search and Innovation Lead at SolarWinds. He has run search measurement at the scale where being wrong about the data is expensive. KnewSearch is that discipline pointed at AI answers.

a real report, not a mockup

The free scan on this page is the real product. Our public demonstration scan of webflow.com, dated June 2026 and labeled AI-modeled, is exactly what yours looks like. Webflow is not a customer; it is a public demonstration. What that report does for Webflow is what yours does for your brand from day one.

the methodology, named

Paid-plan numbers trace to real daily probes run through DataForSEO across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini, with timestamps. Not sampled, not extrapolated. When a number changes, an engine changed, not our model. Where a number is modeled, the report says so.

the evidence base

The recommendation engine is built on published, checkable research, led by Ahrefs' study of 75,000 brands: brand mentions across the web correlate with AI visibility about 3x more strongly than backlinks. Every market statistic on this site is dated and linked to its named source. If we cannot source a claim, we do not make it.

faq

Frequently asked questions

What KnewSearch measures, how the probes run, and where the numbers come from. Every one is dated and linked on our sources page.

KnewSearch measures whether a brand is cited inside AI answers on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini. It runs real daily probes through DataForSEO against the buyer prompts that decide your category, records which brands and sources each engine cites, and tracks the changes over time. It is direct measurement of live engine output, not a modeled estimate: when a number moves, an engine changed.

The free scan is an AI-modeled estimate, and it is labeled that way on the report. It predicts what the engines likely say about a brand, and it is a fast, honest signal of whether you have a problem. Paid plans replace the model with real measurement: your top prompts run against the live engines every day, with history, competitor tracking, and gap recommendations.

Being linked is not being the answer. Pew Research found that only about 1 percent of visits with an AI Overview result in a click on a source link inside the summary. The value has moved from the link to the citation itself: whether the engine names your brand as the recommendation. And a link on one engine tells you nothing about the other three, because each engine cites a different web.

The foundations are SEO, and Google says so itself. Two things are genuinely new. The measurement: four engines answer differently and their cited sources rotate constantly, so the job needs daily probes, not a quarterly audit. The work: 84 percent of AI citations are earned media (Muck Rack, 2026), so the levers are third-party mentions, listicles, reviews, and community presence more than on-page changes. Your SEO instincts transfer. Your rank tracker does not.

No. Google has said it does not support llms.txt, and nearly all published llms.txt files receive zero requests from AI bots. What correlates with being cited is earned presence: brand mentions across the web outweigh backlinks roughly 3 to 1 in Ahrefs' 75,000-brand study. KnewSearch's recommendations focus there.

Measurement is immediate. Movement is not. Expect the first citation changes in roughly 4 to 8 weeks of executing recommendations. The churn works in your favor: cited sources rotate constantly, so openings appear every month for brands doing the earned-media work. We re-measure daily so you see the movement the day it happens.

We will not pretend the engines are ours to command, and anyone who guarantees their behavior is overselling. Here is the honest version, with the track record behind it: every client we have taken on has earned citations. What we guarantee is the work, and the refund: if your dashboard does not surface a single citation gap in your first 30 days on a paid plan, email us for a full refund.

Yes. The Agency plan starts at 499 dollars per month for up to 10 client domains at a flat rate, each measured across all four engines, with white-label PDF reporting. No per-seat or per-domain stacking. A partner program pays 30 percent recurring commission to consultants who bring their client lists.

You start a plan with a card on file. Your first real probes run the same day, so you see where the modeled scan was wrong within hours. Nothing is charged until day 15, and you can cancel from the dashboard in two clicks. The trial exists because two weeks of daily measurement is enough to watch your citation picture actually move.
